Mexico, designed by Studio Job, is a skull-like design object with a graphic pattern on the surface, functioning both as a stool or a side table. Reminding of the traditional painted skulls from the homonymous country, Mexico is a whimsical reminder of the cyclicality of our presence on Earth, to exorcise death and celebrate life. Metal-finished, it's suitable for indoor use only.
In 1998 Job Smeets Nynke Tynagel founded Studio Job, a creative hub based in Netherlands where traditional and modern come together to produce once- in-a-lifetime objects characterized by a strong love for details, freedom of expression and a blend of 2D and 3D. Extravagant and cartoon-like products made them pioneers in contemporary conceptual and sculptural design scene.
