MADE IN ITALY

Italy has always had a special relationship with chemistry, plastics, and innovation. Our story is deeply connected to a moment that changed the world: in 1954, Italian chemist Giulio Natta discovered polypropylene, a breakthrough that earned him the Nobel Prize and opened the door to modern, versatile, and accessible plastics. From that moment on, plastic became the material of a new era: creative, colorful, and full of possibilities.

From the 1950s onward, plastic entered everyday life and transformed the way people lived. It made good design available to everyone: Design became “democratic.” This spirit of experimentation, beauty, and accessibility helped shape the modern lifestyle and strengthened what the world now knows as “Made in Italy.”

Behind the scenes, Italy has also been a leader in developing the machines and molds that make those products possible. It’s a less visible side of our excellence, deeply rooted in engineering, precision, and industrial culture, and one that we are incredibly proud of.
